There is a hungarian darmasiswa fellow in purwokerto, he had the idea to go to bali by motorbike after xmas. It is around 650 kms.

The first day we drove 250 kms, which whe considered decent from newbies. Made to a village/small town/whatever called Trowulan, which is actually an arheological site next to mojokerto. The place is assumed to had been the capital the majapahit empire (se asian seaborne empire) around the 14th century. It has buddhist past, there are some buddhist monuments, temples, meditation venues.

We started riding late that day, as we had to do some sightseeing, so to get some extra distance we drove up to the mountains at visited this waterfall

The rest of the day was terrible, disgusting traffic and slalom around trucks. We stayed overnight at a police station in  besuki
