Malang-Batu-Kediri-Tulungagung-Pacitan, 250 km

Things turned exciting when if left the main road after this Tulungagung to a small road on the oceanside

somewhere after Batu

There we were forced to a guesthouse by storm.

The last day,back to Jogja

It is supposed to be a 4 hours ride from Pacitan, one day for us!

My son crashed when we were looking for a place to eat

Malang has the reputation of cooler climate and is the starting point of hikes to Gunung Bromo and Semeru the most renowned volcanoes in Java. Instead of watching them we couchsurfed there, did much needed laundry and and did NOT sit on the scooters for 30 hours. And walked around in Malang briefly before rain set on.

Before going to Malang we ascended to the ocean to have a chill a day, riding unbelievably roads and seeing such landscapes.

I visited in September as well

Almost empty, almost no litter, only locals,

the best food so far: 1kg fresh grilled fish, a bucket of rice and a plate of sambal (hot spice mixture)
It would have been enough for 3 people for 40k Rupiah 

Next day back to the main road

mislead by navigation. the 2 hours drive to Malang took an afternoon

celebration: reached the paved road
